Default Hatchback Vette?

Found this on ebay, and thought it was interesting.

I'm partial to the fastback shape (that's one of the reasons I own an '80), but the blind spot on both sides would be huge with that kit. Just think about the effect of that much front-to-back side surface area on your angle of vision form the driver's seat.

Graft some triangular windows into the sails, a la the 65-66 Shelby GT350 fastbacks.

It think it looks pretty good. Definitely more of a early '70s look than the factory's version. I wonder if there are any still around.

WoW. that 'Vette looks as good as stock!. Wish it was still available. Pickup a 74-77 for 6,500 or so, and this would be a great mod. I'd love to find one on an old 'Vette. Would of been a great factory option!

It's a bit too much like putting a mustache on the Mona Lisa or clothes on Venus for my taste!

There is a truly hideous Corvette C3 "Wagon" somebody keeps putting on Craigslist in Seattle and Portland for about $35 grand, with a few faded and grainy pictures from the 70's.

I personally don't like it, but that's just my opinion.

It looks like it's even an L-82.

I dunno, I kinda like it. From the side the hatch gives it something of a C2 body line...and the price is certainly right for an L-82, as long as the frame isn't trashed.
