Hello,
I had a broken cancel cam on my turn signal switch in my 68 so I replaced the entire unit with a Corvette America switch.
Now...no turn signals at all. When I move the lever you can hear the flasher clicking and the gauge needels and dash lights flicker almost like a ground problem.
Any ideas on what happened here? Everything worked normal before.
Thanks!
I tried that. I took an awl and lifted all of the connectors to increase contact but still no turn sigs but everything else including flashers work. I'm not real comfortable with the conection, it seem to tight when its going together. I'll keep working on it.
Thanks!
Could I have gotten a bad switch? I've read a few posts saying that these are not very good reproductions.
If I get another switch should I simply be able to plug it in at the connector and test without fully installing it. And finally, can anyone recommend a better quality switch and where to get it from.
Thanks again!
I went though three swtches before I found one that worked.
Yes, you can test the switch before installing it. Just plug it into the connector and go through the motions
I read here some members got their switches from Lectric Limited and didn't have any problem. Give them a ring and ask if they still carry them
