I may have located a 200-4R, the guy at the salvage yard is pretty sure it's the correct one. Is there any special features that would identify it for sure. Any pics etc.
For one the case is all one piece. No tailshaft extension bolted to the case. At the right rear of the housing is a metal id. tag riveted to housing. The pan is rather unique it almost looks like there are two pans but it is one. The rear section houses the govener and the main is where the valve body is. The pan is attached with 16 bolts.

Thanks, the guy told me that it was a one piece body, no bolt on tail section. I checked 15 places, salvage and transmission shops before I found this guy and all they said was "Good luck, haven't seen one of them in years".
Thanks for all the help.

I'm pretty sure all TH2004Rs are dual bolt pattern. They are pretty easy to find here in GA...most RWD BOP cars from the late 80s have them. My favorite junkyard only charges about $50 for them, though its rare to find one of the Monte SS or other high-perf G-body versions.
Thanks for all the info guys. Picked it up today, $300.00, but since I had such a problem finding it i thought it was a fair price. It has 30 day money back, but I will be upgrading it before it ever sees the vette. Got a good list of parts in mind , but will post the list before I purchase them for your input. I'll take a few pics of it tomorrow and post them for conformation. Thanks guys, God Bless C/F
