Going to put Torq Thrust on my 69. I'm thinking 17" wheel, 255/45 ZR17.Any thoughts? What are you using on yours? Don't want any rubbing issues. Stock ones off, new bolt right on. Nothing else to do or be concerned about. Thanks
I have run a 17X8 with a 4 inch backsapce with no problems. Ihad 255 45 17s all around and none of the m rubbed. I tried 255 50 17s and the yrubbed on the front. I know run a 18X10 with a 5.5 backspace on the rear with 275 40 18s and the 255 45 17s on the front.

Do you have offset trailing arms to get the 18 rears to work?
I'm running 17" TT IIs with Nitto NT450s (255/50) all around. They are a great upgrade in handling compared to my stock 255/60x15 Goodyears. I don't have pictures, but here's a video of some track runs where you can get an idea of how they sit on the Vette.

I just got my TT2's from him and they look great
255/50r17 with 4" backspace
great customer service, I will go back to him the next time I need wheels for sure
Just a question for you guys with the aftermarket wheels.
How did you have them balanced....
The hub centric way(ie just mount the wheel through the center hole when balancing) or the lug centric way(mount the wheel with an adapter with lugs).
I just ask this b/c I have had problems with aftermarket wheels that did not fit the hub of the car perfectly like the oem's. They would never balance just right.. ie shake around 57 mph

Mmm, at least with my correctly sized (offset, backspacing) TTIIs, I've had no such problems, at least up to about 130
