Rockauto.com Moogs
I am looking to buy new ball joints. I am trying to decide between Moog and Spicer. I noticed that rockauto.com had by far the cheapest source for Moog, I am wondering why this is. The uppers are 47 vs 67 USD other places. Anyone have an opinion they could offer in Moog Vs Spicer. And an answer to why the moogs are so much cheaper on rockauto.

Maybe they just sell a boatload. Ordered mine from Amazon for the same price. Dana (Spicer) seem to good too, but everyone's opinion is that Moog is the best.

I bought mine from Rockauto a couple of months and they came in Moog boxes with Moog instructions. I'm not sure why they are so much cheaper but they are Moog parts and are brand new. The part number on the boxes matches the part number on Advance Auto and Autozones website. They saved me over $100 over the local auto part store.

Hate to say this, but being the parts of ANY maker come in a box that looks like the real part, and the part itself MAY be stamped correctly, AND even made in USA....
all that don't mean crap....
this much I know for a FACT, the offshore types have forgered their way into every aspect of AMERICAN made machinery, trading bogus crap under name brands, bunch of crooks....
this is OLD hat allready....GM been het years ago with bogus oil filters and AC sparkplugs....and it s hard to tell the differance....
without destructive testing of any batch.....
lotsa threads on this crap.....I got hit with a set of bogus lower ball joints for my vette last spring...came under McQuay Norris boxes from Auto Zone...they SO bad, the didn't even fit the install on the arm....
serious as Rowbuck....
the lifespan of bogus parts is/can be less than 500 miles....
