Are they all the same manufactor?
I ordered one from Ecklers last year and right out of the box it was a piece of crap, would not hold vacum. After working on it, I managed to get it to work, but only on it's terms, { maybe it was female}
I am removing my steering column and now seems to be a good time to replace it again, but want the best part as it's a PITA to get back to it...
You can forget GM. Regardless of the C3 year, both of these switches were discontinued several years ago - actually PttCF (= Prior to the CF) There are 3 repro's; one using the old Delco source and two newer imports.
I would agree, with your accessment, as over the past three years I have noticed a decline in quality and service, but they are convienent, as I live an hour away, I get parts the next day......

Yep, I couldn't agree more as I live in West Palm. I used to attend their October shows which I truly enjoyed, but no more.

PS I don't make these.
Is there any easy way to tell if the switch is from the Delco source?

I have a switch from my '72 and know that it works if you are interested; I don't know where it was made, came in a plain white box and I don't remember from where I bought it.
