Default suffix CSR..."unknown usage" meaning...

got a question for the smart ones out there...in the case of an engine suffix that deciphers into an "uncertain usage" what exactly does that mean? this case being a 72 LT1 with a CSR suffix. i know CSR means the LT1 (255h.p.) manual trans and a.i.r., but what about the "uncertain usage" part? thanks in advance!!!

oops! my bad. i read the suffix wrong. it's CRT and not CSR, but the question still stands...what does "uncertain usage' mean???

Corvette by the Numbers also has the same CSR 1972 big block designation.
Unknown usage because little did they know someone would transform the 175hp 75 Impala 400ci motor into a 550hp fire breathing, tire shredding monster 406ci

PS. Sorry I don't have an answer to your question

thanks for pointing that out frankvincent. that made me relook at the pad and i read the suffix wrong. it's CRT, not CSR. but i still am searching for an answer to the "uncertain usage" delemma.
