Default 68 to 69 up frame extensions

Will 69-72 front frame extensions and crossmember bolt up to a 68 frame without any modification?
Thanks,
Andy

No, You will have to drill some holes to get them mounted.

darn, I want to run a bigger rad for my 327, and figured a 69 up rad support would be best, but im not sure if a rad support for 69 would fit the 68 crossmember. Is it possible to use 68 frame extensions and a 69 crossmember if needed for the 69 rad support? my problem is the car is frontendless, and needs to be totally assembled, so i have no referance points and nothing to start with, need to collect all these parts still.

Don't both DeWitt and BeCool sell large enough aluminum radiators? I have a pretty big aluminum radiator from BeCool in my 68 (ZZ4 350). Best I remember they sold one that was even larger. DeWitt also, I'm pretty sure, could supply you with a large radiator that would fit a 68. These large radiators (large in terms of thickness and cooling fins/tubes) are intended for use with BB's. Seems like they should handle you 327 just fine...allowing you to use your 68 radiator support/crossmember. Also, their cooling effectiveness is increased by the electric fans you can get for them. Ok, I admit there may be a $$ issue here!

thanks for the help guys. As i stated, i have nothing, so i need to get everything, was thinking of upgrading now if i was able, just seems 68 is harder to find than 69 up. Dewitts told me to get a 68 BB rad support. Anyone know the opening size of the 68 BB support?

The 68 front horns are exactly like the midyears, so BB stuff on 68 is essentially the same as midyears. There should be no cooling problems with a 68 set up. Use the AC, BB radiator and the fiberglass shroud.
