Default balancer won't budge

I have removed the 1 bolt, washer, and 1 big washer and then put the balancer puller to work. I am turning the whole crank so i put a rubber mallet to keep puller and crank from rotating and turned it very hard and the thing still won't come off. Am i doing somthing wrong?

So you have the crows foot puller with 3 bolts installed and when you turn the center bolt the whole thing turns?
Use a long prybar between 2 of the mount bolts and the cebter bolt to hold it and then go at it.

Make sure you coat the threads heavily with oil of some kind to help lube it and to cool it. I have de-threaded more than a few of the light duty pullers on stuck balancers.
