Default brake booster

I just installed a pwr brake booster in my 71 vette. The link(bracket) to the pedal seems to short. I have it turned for max length but the brake pedal looks too low. The brake pedal is close to the firewall and below the height of the cllutch pedal. Any ideas???

did your 71 have factory PB, or are you just adding the booster?

Good chance what you are dealing with is the booster is from a late shark, and the m/cyl you have has a ~1" deep hole in the rear piston....the booster needs have a pin long enough to mate into there...without that, what you have is the symptom....
you can change to the later shark m/cyl....that has just a dimple there to locate the pin....

or do it right, and put in a larger m/cyl and Hydroboost brakes for better brakes than you C5 has....

I have a longer pin for the master cylinder to booster. Will this make the brake pedal come away from the firewall???
