I'm looking for the rubber part that sits on top of the air filter holder and goes up against the hood. Mine is cracked and looks like it might need to be replaced soon. Can't find it in the eckler's or mid amer catalogs. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me a gm part number?
how about some wide weather stripping or the stuff that summit has that comes in a roll for this? i dont remember the page its on but they have something like it
I'm with ZD on this one. You can make it cheaper using the roll-type weatherstripping available at most parts stores/outlets (or even available from hardware stores). Unless you are looking for originality...
Yikes! $50 for a ring of rubber? That's a bit steep for me. I think I"ll wait until it cracks in half and then I have to replace it. How well does that weatherstripping thing work?
Zip Products has the Air cleaner seal (73-75), part # WS-601 for $62.00. The Air cleaner seal flange (75) for 350 cu.in., part # AC-158 for $55.00 Zips # is 800-962-9632
I just got this from ZIP and it's going back. The orginal seal on mine is a much better quality section. The one ZIP sent is thin and flimsy. A cross section comparison isn't even close.

I understand that Dr. Rebuild has the original type available.
