need brake upgrade advise
i have relatively new brakes on my car, like -2000 miles. new meaning rotors and calipers replaced. the car sits in a garage most of the time and the rear brakes leak. i have read its a common problem with the factory rust prone iron parts and can be repaired in many different ways. my question is what is the best way (cost and quality)?
thanks,

Well, the sitting for long lengths causes a problem in and of itself, but the most cost effective way is four S/S sleeved calipers from Autozone. They are $69 each with core, come with a lifetime warranty, and are direct replacements for front and rear. They will work and last just fine so long as the rest of the braking system is healthy, and that they get used from time to time without sitting for LONG periods. I did mine this way and have had no problems. Very inexpensive to do all four corners.
Some people swear by O-ring caliper pistons if the car sits. I have old lip seals and no problems. My car has sat for six months to a year while I deploy with lip seals with no issues.
