Hey guys I have a Holley 4160 that I just installed and when I start the car when its cold out it doesn't idle high enough. I know that the choke cable is closing the choke plate. When I start it I usually fully depress the gas pedal 2 or 3 times. pull the choke cable. And turn the key. Am I doing something wrong?
Can anyone give me some advice as to where to buy a better choke cable then the generic ones they sell at autozone it binds from time to time,
I haven't had a Holley or really tinkered with one in YEARS ... I had the same problem with my Qjet. I adjusted the thermostatic coil. All is good now.

Try a marine store like West Marine, They sell a variety of choke cables for marine engines.
