Power Window Conversion-Door Glass R/R
First question:
I have the all of the door tracks in place, the regulator in place, motor in place and wired. The track looks like it is mid-way up/down. Where do I need to have the track to reinsert the glass and get it bolted in?
Second question:
Is there a safe way to power the window motor to raise and lower the track to get it in the right place? I don't have all of the wiring completed and would like to get this side done before moving towards the other side or start installing the wiring harness.
Any suggestions? Also, has anyone out there installed this kit?
Get A Jumper Wire And Touch One Terminal Briefly To See Which Direction, Then Bump Motor With Jumper To Move Accordingly. Use 12 Ga Wire, Nothing Lighter.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you... The install is going really well. I am actually surprised. I'm doing a ton of other things as I go so it's taking a bit of time to get everything done.
I've replaced the heater core, replacing carpet, recovering seats, replacing the console, replacing the weatherstripping... just about everything is coming out and going in new.
I'll let you know when I get the battery connected back up, how the window install went.
I have the passenger and driver side door installation complete, wiring the switches complete, the window relay installed that sits below the radio and all the wiring routed. The problem is that I have two wires, one pink with black stripe and one orange with black stripe. The assembly manual show both of these attaching to the fuse panel, but the copy of the fuse panel in the manual that I have looks like a fifteenth generation copy so it isn't clear where they connect in the fuse panel.
Can someone out there with power windows take a quick photo of their fuse panel and post it?
Thanks in advance!!!
