Hello, I just wanted to know if any one has used this kit. I would like to get this for my 80, but I'm not sure if it will fit. On the Holley website under footnotes, the only thing it says is that it will not fit with a turbo 400 transmission. I read through the directions and it says "Rotate extensions to get as much clearance around the hole in the crossmember". Well, 80 vettes don't have holes in the crossmember. I will try contacting Holley and see what they have to say.
I just bought the same kit for my 76. Unfortunately its still sitting in the garage in the box. Won't get to put it on till next month when I get my headers ordered. Will say this though, it seems to be of very good quality. Nice bends and heavy tubing.

No, '80 Vettes don't have holes in the cross member, but you can easily modify the cross member on the driver's side to get at least as much clearance as the passenger side. I have 1/4" more clearance on the driver's side than the passenger side. The modification is simple. Here's what the cross member cutout looks.
And here is what it looks like when done. (Although a H-pipe kit from Summit would look better.)
I can explain how to make the mod if you're interested.
Yes, I'm interested in any info you can give me on the mod. Yours looks like it came out great. I also noticed that we only live about 2 1/2 hours away. I live in La Crosse, WI. Thanks!
