If it's an original-like urethane cover, then it is pretty flexible. The cover is attached to the body by metal retainers. Go to Ecklers.com, select 1980, and search on "bumper". The retainer strips will cost abou $60 and another $30 for retainers plus shipping - about $100 in parts plus installation. You should be able to look up there and see the joint line. Look for any signs of damage.
