The latest on my Pypes system.....Now my order that was supposed to arrive 01/12 has been delayed again.....Now March 5th, is the new proposed shipping date. I keep waiting on Alan Funt to show up with a camera. I'm thinking maybe the Corvette Forum might need to drug test some of their supporting vendors......they're getting by on some kind of business, it just don't seem to be exhaust systems. I'd tell ya'll what I really think, but this is when my wife tells me to shush.

Summit has shipped my system today (2/24/08). This is a week earlier than they had stated.

I just hope all fits well.

Very interesting. Seems as though Summit actually has them in stock instead of drop shipping them.... that's good to know.

Am I understanding this right, Summit has the Pypes brand in it's cheaper and quicker delivery then getting it right from Pypes themself?

Maymyvetteliveforevr,
you are not understanding it correctly...
you are under a false assumption...

if you place your order now and take the last one Summit has in stock then I'm screwed!

For those of you that got your new Pypes system.... I just got mine also....2 months to get it, wow now that's fast. I opened my box and found that they left out two of the "block hangers" and the tailpipes are supposed to be polished and they're not. We called them first thing Monday morning and they were supposed to send us the missing parts......You would think after a customer had to wait more than 2 months to get your product, and you shorted their order, that maybe you could get them the missing parts semi-quickly??????? Here it is Friday evening, and no sign of anything. On another note, I was sure impressed with the mufflers that came in seperate boxes that obviously came from China.

All the moaning and groaning in this thread about Pypes....WTF?
I've seen the pics, seen the price, seen everybody bitch about being shorted parts, poor customer service, poor delivery time, what else did I miss? Why does everybody keep ordering them? I haven't seen one positive comment here but you guys are waiting in line for them?

If you're not interested in Pypes then go find some other thread to play on. Maybe your Mommy will leave the room, and you can stay online and beat something other then that dead horse.

Now that's exactly what I'm talking about! You've obviously got some pent up frustrations from that long wait you had for your Chinese mufflers.

By the way, I don't live with my mommy, but your's just left with a smile!
Now where did that come from??? Civility!

I ordered mine frome Jeg's. They said the only difference between the violator version and the other two is the mufflers. They have the quieter versions in stock. They had to special order the violator version for me. I got it in like 1 to 2 weeks. The availability problem must have been because they were new. I wasn't aware that this was a new product. I'm having it installed today. I ordered new stock tips for my '72 and ground off the stock 2" pipe. I'm hoping they can weld the 2 1/2" Pypes kit to the new stock tips. Then I'm going to grind the inside to 2 1/2" after welding. Keep it stealthy so the Mustangs and tuners I victimize won't see it coming. Heh heh.
