That looks a lot like the dragvette driveshaft loop. I have one too and used a sliced rubber hose mounted to the loop to provide some protection to the E-brake cable from rubbing against the loop. So the cable runs thru an inch or so of hose thats fixed to the loop. I used one of those fuel line mounting clamps and enlarged the mounting hole to fit one of the loop bolts. Works great. Just an idea.
