Clicking Sound
Had my 81 out for a little cruise yesterday, and noticed a iregular clicking from Behind the driver seat. Upon fruther inspection seems to be a small regulater of some sort mounted beside the battery. Had a dewitts rad. and electric fans installed recently,and the wires for the fans are hooked there. the amp guage dosen't jump when it does this,anybody have any Ideas about this. Thanks in advance

Thats either a circuit breaker or a relay. If its the relay that controlls the fans it may not be a problem, just indicates that the fans are cycling. If its a circuit breaker there is a problem, something is making it pop and reset.
Post a pic if you can and see if the fans are running

I'm pretty sure it's not a battery disconnect, theres no switch or anything. The noise doesn't start or stop when the fans come on, just seems to constantly do it with no certain pattern

If the "gizmo" is connected to one of the battery terminals, and it has a turn-**** ....it's a battery disconnect. If so, tighten the **** and see what happens.

my pulse/delay wiper module does that all the time whether the wipers are on or not, but its located in the console on my 78. Isnt the wiper relay on a 81 in the storage compartments?
