Default What Carb gasket?

Hi...

Just installed a new intake.
My carb gakset do not seem to fit...
Intake: Edelbrock Performer.
Carb: Holley Street Avenger 670.

The gasket seems to be covering alot of the intake...

Any advise?

Best regards Søren

The open gasket in your first photo works just fine for the Holley installation. It's not going to match the manifold because the manifold is set up for both a Q-Jet and a square bore carb application. But that gasket is correct for your carb mounting application and will work just great.

Is there a reason to run the thick gasket on the aluminum manifold. I have one now but i would like a little more clearance for the air cleaner.
Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your thread, just looked like a good time to ask.

Yeah, you bet. That's why I have an instrumented test engine set up in my workshop where I test parts, components and systems on almost a daily basis...
