Default Assembly manual on computer disc

Does anyone know of a supplier for a 75 assembly manual on disc?
I tried finding something on this in old posts and came up empty.

Have you tried Ebay. Here's one for a '79.

We should have all these available real soon! (1 month before we have all of them done). I’ll send you an email when we get your done.

The 1979 that is sold on eBay right now is a good one but it is locked down so you can not search for key words on it. When we are done with these they will be searchable (or OCR’d) and printable. This will allow you to type in a word, part number and/or anything else you need without spending a ton of time trying to locate something.

Here are the books we have done so far: 1957, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1967, 1969, 1970, if anyone is interested in any of these let us know and we will try to get the purchase links up by the end of the coming week.

It should not be much longer and we’ll do a release as soon as they are finished.

I would wait for the Wicox version. I have not used one of those but I did buy one from another vendor that is not searchable. Those are not reccomended IMHO. No way to find anything without loading one page file at a time. I would MUCH rather use the hard photocopy.

Not to highjack; but, when do you expect the completion of the 1975 and 1977 and have you got a pricetag for them yet?

TIA Dan

I'm interested in the 1969 version when it's available.

Thanks.

'72 and '73 please!

Also, have you considered selling them through an online downloading service? That way someone could purchase the one(s) they need online, download it, and then use it without having to wait for (or pay for) shipping. Just a thought...

We have considered putting these on the site as downloads but we just made new changes to the Repair and Help Section in the last two weeks and we are still converting files from this change.

I agree, it would be nice to just download them with no shipping. Some of these are huge files and the newer the car the larger the book. I'll talk with the systems administrator about this next week and see what is involved in adding another module to the site. I think it would be a little more complicated to make this work I’m not sure.

For the most part, the books that are done and tested worked great. When running the OCR on these books, there are always problems due to written changes, poor quality of the original pages and so on. But what we did find out is that if you know what a part is called and you search for it, it will usually get you close enough to find anything quick.

I’ll keep you guys posted on this and make a post as soon as they are added to the site either way.
