Engine dies on the road....
So a brief history.... Everything ran fine. Then it didn't. I pulled the rear needle and seat and there was a bit of trash in there and the bottom was cracked. So I replaced that and now she runs again. BUT..... When I get a little higher into the RPM's say 3000ish through first and second I'll about hit the speed limit and drop her into neutral and she just dies. SO I have to put it in 4th and dump the clutch cause I'm rolling down the road at 45mph with a dead car. Fires up fine and it's like nothing happened. Even if I leave her in gear and try to coast back down through the RPM's it'll stumble and act like it's trying to die. This wasn't happening before and all I did was change the needle and seat.... what could I have possibly have done? Or is this a new gremlin? I have no problems when I baby it and shift below 2500. But I have a freakin Corvette!!! I want to be able to get up and go every once in a while. So what do you guys think?
