Default Spark Plug Question !

Im tring to find sum desent plugs but i have gmpp bowtie heads and they call for a plug with a 3/8 reach or .3750 . I also like the ngk plugs but when i do a search on my model year the ngk # 2869 plug has a .460 reach which is longer .Is it ok to run a longer plug in my aplication ?Almost all the plugs out there are .460 reach would that much more make a differance .I called NGK and the only plug they have in a 3/8 reach is sum sort of plug you can use on chain saws and crap like that its a BPMR-6-F and its a 6 in the heat range which i think is too cold .

I would be worried about a longer reach hitting the piston. You might have to do some measuring first with the engine at TDC.

Are they new heads, if not, what were the previous plugs?

I couldnt find an automotive ac plug with a reach less than 1/2".
