Default roll bars

I was thinking of putting a 4 point roll bar in my 68. Does anyone know where I can find one? Has anyboby done this? How about some pixs? :smash:
Thanks, Jim

Bought as a kit from Jegs. All the bars come in a box, then you need to fit them to your car and weld them together. :)

What are you using the roll bar for? Some sanctioning bodies require a 5-point bar and the tube size and wall thickness are also important. I installed a 5-point in mine but would probably take it to a chassis shop next time...too much swearing , cussing, and headache for me...I'll stick to the mechanical things

Yes Pat I finally changed it to reflect with my AOL address :) , now I just need to get the pic next spring to go with it :D .

Deen I put my bar in for autocross racing. I have a friend that races at Watkins Glen with his 68 vette and he too only has a 4pt in his car. I haven't highspeed raced my car yet  .

I just went ahead an bit the bullet. I didn't even discuss cost. Because it's total custom with frame stand offs. So the body can be removed without cutting the cage. I'm having a pro chassis shop install a 8 point cage. 79's are easier because of the rounded rear window area. I'm building something to comply with three associations SCTA/SCCA/NHRA So it's going to have all 1 3/4 .125 wall seamless tubing and fire system.

Something like http://www.alstonchassis.com sells kits

I wanted tto drive my car at watkins glen for fun I understand that a roll cage is needed. Is there a kit for a rag top? Do you know what type I might need or should I go whole hog just for any future needs?
