Default Carb rebuild

I'm looking for recommendations on a quality rebuilder to rebuild my code correct Carter Q-jet carb. Vette is a 72 BB 4 speed. A rebuilder in the SE would be nice. Any idea of turn around time and costs?

Lars is the MAN. He is on this forum. Many have used his services. Quick turnaround, reasonable prices and he knows what he's doing. Others will chime in, but if you do a search under Lars you will get plenty to read.

Default Lars is the Master

I just got my 1980 Q-Jet back from Lars in Colorado. Turn around was fast and the carb is running awesome. I have never felt the back secondaries kick in like they do now, what a blast to drive. I highly recommend Lars for the rebuilds.:

I just finished installing one of Lars' rebuilds on my 76 tonite. Carb was bolted down, ALL vacuum lines replaced, and car was running in approx. an hour. All I had to do was adjust the idle after the car warmed up.

Lars has a GREAT reputation for a reason. He's taken care of alot of guys and their carbs here and the other forum. Stand up guy that does quality work, you won't be disappointed!

That's nonsense. I respond to every e-mail request for info within 24 hours. I get 50 to 75 e-mail requests per day, and I take the time to answer every single one.

Runs like a champ and cost was $105. I supplied the kit and filter. PM me and I'll be glad to provide additional.

Never received an e-mail from you - I just checked. Contact me and get the facts before you publicly accuse me of "not bothering" to respond.

Over the years, Lars has done several quadrajets, a few Holleys, and one Speed Demon for me. All costs were well below market value, and the work and attention to detail was phenomenal. This is an incredible service that he provides for us.

I've watched this the last few days & have to add my .02 worth.
Lars rebuilt my Q-Jet last spring. He responded to every email promptly before I sent him the carb, kept me up to date on the progress & his findings & turned it around in a very short time. Lars certainly doesn't need anyone to back him up on this forum, but for someone to accuse him of not bothering to respond is pure rubbish.
Perhaps you were a little hasty, there, Kap142.
