Long hood to replace wiper door question

Considering I'm not a body man and this is my first attempt, I'd have to say the skill level required to do something like this would be average.
I am in the process of replacing the wiper door bushings so I don't have pictures yet of the hood with the wiper door open- But by my measurements, I will have plenty of room since the wiper door won't even open as far as the lip extends on the cowl induction portion of the hood.
