Need help to replace side view mirrors, glass is in the way of getting to one bolt. Can some one direct me in solving this problem?

Please fill out your profile. We can't tell what year car you have. I am guessing 77 to 82 with sport mirrors, but it's better to base advise by knowing what year car you have.

My mistake, my vette is a"79', drivers mirror is remote controled, passenger is not. Have door panel off but glass blocks access to one nut holding the mirror on. Can't seem to locate a down stop if there is one. Really would aooreciate any help. Thanks for any help. Art

i had to do this once. i just took the glass out, but kept the tracks in place since they are adjusted. took only a few mins.
