Default courtesy light socket 1972

I am missing the driver's side courtesy light socket for my 1972 coupe. Yeah bubba did it. Anyways, i am not sure what all years would be the same.... probably1968-1976 for sure. It is a double wire socket for a c631 single contact bulb. Does anyone have an old dash harness that still has this socket??? I have checked at the online vendors and at autozone and napa and no one has this.... please let me know...

thanks again,

Sully

Default light sockets ?

if it was like mine they are using a self grounding socket on a fiberglass car, not the smartest socket selection, just change it to a newer 2 wire socket and bulb, and gnd one of the wires.

Painless Wiring makes a set of sockets for courtesy lights that should not be too hard to adapt to our C3s. This is one of the projects on my to do list. Price is about $30 from Summit for the light only kit with or without the door switches.

Kit w/door switches

If you need one, I think I have one still attached to a harness in my shed...it was from an older vette that had glass fuses.

PM me your address, if it's usuable I'll drop it in the mail for you. No charge...

Plus fayettville isn't too far from me
