I bought a 1970 Stingray that has 1969 side-pipes on it. I get exhaust fumes inside the car. My garage tells me it's a vortex. That rear wheel spinning forward right at were the exhaust comes out of the side pipes makes the exhaust swirl and up into the open window. Anyone else know anything about this or have the same problem and is there a solution?

If you get fumes from your sidepipes, you're not driving fast enough! 
Not so sure I would use the terminology as vortex, as a vortex generator is typically aeronautical to describe maintaining airflow over or on a surface.
