Default aluminum head temp.

well i bit the bullet, and got a mark viii fan ,and dcc control.brian at delta control said it should stabilize about 185 degrees. is this temp ok for aluminum heads. got a 180 themostat. should i go with a 170 or 160..

More than adequate for aluminum heads, they see the same temps as cast iron heads during normal operation. I'd go with a 180.

180f is fine for the stat rating....buy one that fails in the OPEN position, many don't....

Murray is supposed to be that way....
