Default Engine Pull In Process - Help

I have the engine up enough to clear the engine mounts but can not get the engine to slide forward. I pulled two bolts in the tranny cross member (pulling engine and tranny together. I disconnected the driveshaft. So what did I miss? I am sure this will be a duh but I can't figure it out. Help.

Do you mean the two bolts for the trans mount in the crossmember. Did you get the Ground cable to the frame?

Shifter I released the linkage but failed to disconnect the shifter. Does the console have to come out to get the shifter out?

Woo Hoo it is out.
It was the bracket from the tranny to the exhaust pipe. Thanks for the help and allowing me to vent. Guess dumb a&& is not curable from the internet. . Engine compartment cleaning time is next.

Scott,
Doing dumb things and not knowing what dumb thing to do next is a big part of what makes playing with old cars SO much fun. Having the engine out sure makes cleaning the engine compartment a lot easier.

Alan
