Default Air Flow Research...Questions...

Check out their 350 small block chevy package, the one at the top of the page with the graph.

Is this a good setup? Could you swap the cam or intake and make better numbers? I like the low torque. I have a 4-bolt 350 out of an '81 truck sitting in my garage that I want to build up someday, and i'm not sure to go with 350 or 383. I want a streetable engine that will mostly be stoplight launching and maybe a few trips to the strip to race my friend's Supra... Something that would last me a 100k miles too. I don't have a large budget, I just plan on getting a piece here and there and slowing building it up, so i'm not looking for a crate motor. Thanks for any input/advise !!!

Cool combo! Very impressive HP/TQ ratings.
There seems to be no doubt that AFR sells really GOOD stuff. Arguably the best.
If you can afford them, AFR is the way to go. I've never heard any complaints about their stuff.

Neighbor across the street put together a 355 based on one of AFR's catalog combos that AFR said dynos around 475 HP. The car hasn't been running very long and it hasn't been on a chassis dyno, but that rascal does indeed thump. This isn't a daily driver and it does have 4.56 gears.

Where are they getting the power from, at 9.5 CR ?
I'm looking at their parts and I have more than 9.5 CR so with their 190 heads I'm gonna be 450 HP? I doubt it

I looked at flow numbers for these heads and they flow freaking -awesome-. I believe they flow very similarly to the C5 head, which is a much larger port design than the AFRs. I honestly think AFRs are the only way to go, and I'm definitely gonna go with them on my car.
