AN line size conversion chart
Does anyone have a conversion chart that shows the AN size to SAE?? like 1/4 = xAN 3/8 =xAN 3/4= x AN well you get the picture. I want to p/u some steel braded line but not sure of all the sizes.
Thanks

think of every - size in 16th`s...-12 or 12/16 (3/4")...-8 or 8/16 (1/2") that will be about as close as you can get.

Thanks for the info that will help but I saw somewhere a chart that listed what each size closely equated to. I am lazy and don’t want to do any math equations if I don’t need to.

close but not exactly.... the ID of the hose is slightly smaller than the dash sizes....a -6 hose does not have an ID of .375.....

That wasn't the question, however, waterplay's answer EXACTLY matches YOUR "formula" in the second post.......
Or were you just looking for an argument?

except hose sizes (specifically ID) don`t exactly match the formula, they are slightly smaller.

Thats what I was looking for. looks like page 48 is what I needed. They do talk about the denominator being 16.
