After 25 years of mother nature and road debris, my windshield and
side windows have scratches and nicks. Is there any polish that will
help eliminate some of these scratches? Any recommendations... :)
Go to Eastwood's website. they have a glass polishing kit consisting of a container of Rhodite polishing media and a felt buff. I bought a kit but haven't used it yet. Glass can be buffed to eliminate scratches if they're not too deep. This week I had my Intrigue at the dealer for some work and one of the problems was that the inside of the driver's side window was being scratched by something in the door. The window had scratches in it about 3/4 inch wide and about 8 inches long. The dealer adjusted the window mechanism and polished the glass to remove the scratches. The window looks brand new. I'm looking forward to doing the 74.

Re: Glass polish.. (vettfixr)
I have used the Rhodite from Eastwoods. It did work on very fine scratches. One thing to be careful of is to make sure you cover the entire car to protect it from the residue as you don't want this stuff to get on your paint, especially if you do the application by machine. I also taped the edges of the weatherstrip to help keep it from getting in there. It can make a mess.
I thought that I read somewhere that you could polish out scratches on laminated glass but not tempered glass. I am not sure about this so if someone knows the answer.............
Bon Ami is simply an off-the-shelf scouring powder that been around for decades, similar to Comet, et al.
Supposedly, minor scratches can be removed from laminated glass but not tempered glass. I keep forgetting which is which but I believe the windshield is laminated and the other windows are tempered. The markings at the corners of the glass will state what it is.
