Default Gymkhana Suspension

In the early 70's, Zora offered a gymkhana suspension with a small rear sway bar.
What was the size of the front sway bar with this setup?
Tks.

7/16" dia with small block and 5/8" dia with big block (1973-74 model years.) All the later cars had 7/16" rear bars I think. I have a set-up off a 1978 Vette, $265 for front/rear bars with all mounting hardware for rear bar. You will have to buy new bushings for front/rear bars.

The first year Gymkhana was offered was 1974 and it did not include a rear sway bar. When FE7 was ordered with a big block in 74, the sway bar was called out as part of the big block package.

In 75, the rear sway bar was included with FE7 and as stated, it was 7/16" The FE7 continued through 1982.

I've got a '75, how would I identify a Gymkhana vs. a standard suspension?

I've just finished rebuilding the front and rear suspension so I know the bushing size I had to replace on the sway bar, rear 7/16" and front 1 1/8".

Are there other identifiers? What else was included in that suspension package?

In addition to the sway bars, stiffer 550 front springs, 7 leaf HD rear spring & HD shocks. So carefully count the rear (std. is 9 leaf).

Thanks Ganey.

The really good news is that I put in a heavy duty 7-leaf rear spring and street/slolom front springs (550 LB. rate) from MidAmerica when I did the suspension.

I didn't put in Blistein shocks, I just put in ACDelco "Reactek" gas shocks from Ecklers both front and rear.

Will I really notice any difference with the Reactek's vs. the Blistein's? I'm not planning to really race or whip this thing around, just enjoy it.

That was when the 77 was new- 70s (original shocks). I was able to get a Corvette at a very young age.
