Sway bar link kit?

The sway bar link kit I got for my '68 is a LITTLE different than the one I took off. The new "spacer" is about 1/4" shorter than the old one. Will that make any difference? Should I simply tighten it up to compensate for the difference or should I find a longer spacer. (the original one is in crappy shape and I don't want to re-use it)

The length of the bushing itself won't matter much, tighten them both down to the same length.
The new one may be Urethane which I like better

The new spacer is, like the old one, "zinc" plated steel. (I think it is zinc)
