So Im getting ready to rebuild my center console, over the years all the little tabs that hold it in place have broken off and its how held in mostly by gravity, spit and bailing wire (not neccessarily in that order)
So i have the new console portion...am getting ready to order the guage portion.. and I've decided instead of cutting the center portion and reusing my custom leather boot. I'm going to space over the shifter handle on my TKO to come out in the correct location.
So the Question is.....
How much shifting over is required? what length spacer should I machine to accomplish this?

Seems I have read 2.5 inches. Could be wrong but do a internet search on TKO conversions, I know I have seen just the shifter with offset dimensions for a vette for sale- it was easy to find. Mine is a 65 but the offset is the same. Prolly no help but thought I'd give ya something anyway...
