Default Windshield Wiper ??????

Im tring to get my wipers working and i was wondering if somone could tell me what the little single prong is right under the main harness and also is there a trick to how the arm on the shaft for the blades go so that they dont go all crazyway past the sides of the windshield !!!

Once they are working you may need to rig them. The rig adjustment is in the "sloppy link" adjusters at the motor crank. There is one for each and each one has two nuts that you will loosen. The way I do them is turn on the wipers at the high open point and quickly turn off the ign. Then you can loosen up the adjusters and tighten back when you have the blades set where you want them. Also you need to run them a couple times to make sure they don't hange up on each other at the overlap in the down stroke.

It may take a couple of adjustments to get them set.

I guess ill have to mess around with them in differant positions and try playing with the ajustments like you said thanks

The "prong" is probably the ground wire lug. Is it under a bolt? If the wire is missing just ground the motor to any good ground to test the motor. I know on my 71 the round wire picks up ground down near the blower motor. If you have an AIM manual there is a wiper adjustment procedure in there.
