Default 75 coupe heater core

I posted this in the "General" forum, but maybe it should be here; don't know.
My heater core leaks and I want to replace it. I have no problem getting the interior stuff out, but the Haynes manual says to first remove the nuts from the heater distributor studs on the engine side of the firewall. I don't see these and am wondering if I have to remove the blower motor and case to gain access to these studs. I hope not. The illustration in Haynes doesn't resemble my set up so I really don't want to remove a bunch of stuff if it's not necessary. Everything is stock factory on this system. Anybody familiar with this who could help me?
Thanks, Mike

If you remove the coolant recovery reservior there is access. There are nuts to remove from studs around the perimeter of the heater box in the area of the blower motor. You may have better access if you remove the heater blower motor.
