Here are pics of the ATL Sportsman SP132C strapped under my '73. It is off center because the battery is going to be mounted to the left of the cell. Should be close to being balanced. This is a 26 gallon cell (will need it for my 540).
The offset 45 degree filler neck lines up perfectly with the filler door! I had to rotate it one bolt, which is 30 degrees. I may have to get one of those larger filler doors when I get a cap on the filler neck (or else lower the cell a little).
I think the cell will barely be visible from behind unless you bend down. But it's hard to tell now because the car is on jacks.
I should probably mention that I have a '76 frame, so I'm not sure this would fit on a normal 68-73 frame.
