Mods for a 74 L-48 (Newbie help please)!!
I'm new here and have been searching around the forms for mods to make to my 74 L-48. I came across this while reading from 'guitarcrazy02'
This is what you want. Period. Take no other answers.
GM Performance Vortec Heads and Edelbrock Vortec RPM Airgap Intake:

You're looking at around $1700 all said and done. That sounds a little better to me than a $5,000 350hp crate motor.
I like the sounds of this but my questions to you guys is should I or not? Mine has 69000mi on it and runs great.......minus the leaking water pump
. Is it time to start playing with the motor or should I leave it alone?
Also any suggestions on a new water pump??????
