Default intake question

i have a recently aquired 77 w/350 got headersand new exhaust going in and was wondering about changing the intake or maybe some other things that arent gonna bankrupt me or warrant tearing the engine completely down, anybody have suggestions on maybe an intake change and or carb,or maybe just intake what to look for what to use?combinations of things??open to suggestions.didnt want to replace the cam ,edlebrock was saying using their carb andintake would mabe need a hood change.what performance changes would or could i expect from this??not building a drag racer but would like to sqeeze a little more out of what i hav presently which is stock pretty much.thanks

personally - carb arn intake are going to make minimal difference. You need different heads to get the compression up and to flow better. Big Big difference there. THEN a carb and intake.

You already have the headers and exhaust, is the exhaust duals? If so, a good intake swap and you will notice the difference. You can buy better heads but unless your going to change the cam, don't bother with heads. you motor will still perform a lot better then stock. Those heads although restrictive still was used on some pretty good high horsepower mills.

would take those heads and have them flowed at the speed shop, cheaper than new heads and gobs more power. airgap intake and proper tuned q-jet will make for a killer combo on a small wallet. make sure your spark and fuel curve are on and its like night and day

-you are limited by the cam though
