I thought I had decided to stroke the L-82 to a 383, but the more I thought about it the less I wanted to do it. I can buy a 383 4 bolt main dirt cheap and build it the way I want for about the same as what it would cost to build the L-82 (matching #'s) and destroy its originality in the process.
So here's what I'm thinking now ...
Step 1: Remove the L-82
Step 2: Put it in a nice box.
Step 3: Shelve it!
Step 4: Take a 383 4 bolt main and build it with 10.2/1 forged pistons, hydraulic roller, edelbrock heads 2.02/160, intake, jet coated headers, and a holley 750 vac.
Step 5: Install.
Step 6: Drive around the block.
Step 7: Buy new tires.
Step 8: Repeat steps 6 and 7.
