How should the pushrod between the MC and Hydro unit be? A "snug" length? X amount longer/shorter than the distance between the MC and Hydro?? I haven't tried the one out of the old vacuum booster yet, just getting prepared for it tomorrow.
Also, has anyone else removed their proportioning valve? I think it was Norval that posted that he had removed his. I wasn't going to remove mine - can anyone chime in with pro's & con's for leaving it there vs removing it?
Not sure why the prop valve would need to be removed, but the push rod just needs to be snug. Your stock master should work fine with the Hydrobooster unless it's an odd model from an odd make or model. The '77 and later masters are what's needed for a perfect fit with no need for a different rod or spacer.
No propostioning valve into a C3!
there is only a "security" witch this cut leeky circuit but don't have any proportioning fonction (balance beween front and rear)
Matt, that hydro unit you sent me ages ago has - what looks like - a rod already fitted. You can see the last maybe 1/8th of an inch of it. The MC I have is a later model type with the shallow hole, so I'm thinking that the rod that's already in the hydro will be ok...
Jerome, I'm not sure what you're getting at mate. I knocked the studs out of my hydro and put them through the firewall from the inside of the car.
sorry i you din't understand i wrote it too fast!
i explain washer between hydroboost and pedal assembly to adapt legth of hydrobooster rod!
hope this time is more clear for you!

Yes you should be fine. Assuming you have the late model master as you say, they'll mate up just fine.
I got all my lines made up today and think it all looks ok - except for the line out of the hydro into the Jeep box. I screwed the union in (FBM2608 from Hydratechbraking) and it seemed to pull up tight before the union bottomed out on the hydro case??? Anyone seen this before? I haven't had a good look at it yet as it was getting to late by the time I finished up, and of course, the fitting's on the inner side of the hydro unit so I'll have to use a mirror or take the hydro out again...
