my drivers side door will lock and unlock from the inside, and lock from the outside, but it wont unlock from the outside. The key turns all the way to unlock, and it just starts to move the linkages when the key is all the way to unlock. The pawl isnt bent and it is making good contact with the linkage, im wondering if it is the tab at the end of the cylinder itself? Do these tabs wear out, or can they slip?

ive been at it for a few hours now it seems that lock doesnt turn enough to the lock side, therefore it turn too much to the unlock side and it hitting the stop before unlocking the door. Is there an adjustment for the barrel or anything to like that?

I don't think the barrel can be adjusted...but it can be replaced.
It is possible that just lubricating the joints in the linkage might correct your problem. When it gets 'sticky', it can bind up to the point that the linkage arm may actually bend. Once it gets a bend in it, any resistance will keep the arm from actuating properly. If you can lock the door from the inside, the mechanism is not defective.
i dont think the mechanism is faulty, but the outside lock may be. My problem is with the thin metal piece that moves the arm on the lock mechanism. The thin metal piece(i think it is called a pawl) isnt moving the arm on the lock mechanism down far enough?
Is it possible the lock cylinder has been twisted in the door slightly?
I would start here. A lock cylinder that shifted/turned the wrong would cause this. the lock cylinder is held in by friction and the only thing preventing that barrel turning is a very slight notch in the fiberglass. I would also guess that it turned due to linkage that is not turning feely. I would get some WD-40 or something in there to loosen it up also.
