Lars Report Thursday 3/20
Glad to hear everything went well...even though I don't know him personally.
from one vette guy to another
Lars; take your time recovering, your health is much more important than any carburetor.

Here's some insight into Lars. He said that when he woke up in excruciating pain and found his arm paralyzed, he still had about 6 carbs on the bench that needed to be worked. He then went to the doctor did an MRI and found out that he needed surgery. I can tell you that if it were me, I would have packed up the carbs and shipped them back with an apology and explanation.
But, noooooo! This is Lars. He said that the weather was getting warm and guys were really counting on receiving the carbs so they could get their cars on the road. So naturally, he did all the repairs with his left hand and then sent them back to their owners prior to going into surgery!
It was fun having you come buy - can't wait to try out that bottle of Scotch you brought over as enticement to get better - I did pop the top off so I could smell it, though...
You know, when I realized that I was going to be out of action for a while from the surgery, it seemed just natural that I get everyone's carbs done and tested before they hauled me off to the operating room... reading about it in your note in hindsight it sounds hillariously unbelievable... but, yes... I really did do the last 6 carbs left-handed, including the test running on the engine when I tied my lame-duck right arm to my side to keep it from going into the engine fan during testing. Safety first, you know...! Okay - I admit it - I am partially insane, but I do have a lot of fun with carbs and Vette parts...
Thanks again, everyone, for the incredible support I have received. It's pretty amazing having a group of friends like this. I hope I can continue to live up to your expectations and to provide you all with good technical assistance whenever you need it.

Get well Lars...
