And if replacing the relay does not work, as it didn't for me, then more than likely there are some wires exposed or crossed in your steering column. I am starting to find that it is a fairly common problem, specially if you have the tilt tele column.

As for a fix, well......I haven't actually FIXED mine yet, though my new ghetto rigged temp push button horn looks kinda cool, for now, lol. And, it got me past the inspection...which is all that mattered.

At the very least, I'd invest in some earplugs

If you have a T/T steering column, check the spring contact under the hub and the plastic insulator under it on the main body of the column. I had a problem where the spring slid up and contacted the hub when the column was collapsed.

Yep. 90% probability that you installed something incorrectly in the column. 5% that it's the relay.....5% that it's "something else".

If you installed a new ring assembly in the column, it can short on the steering wheel nut causing a continuous horn connection. Ask me how I know....

check the horn button retainer. if it doesn't have the proper spacing, the circuit will be closed. i got a repo retainer ring and every time i hit the slightest bump, the horn would blow. got a nos replacement and it solved the problem.
