76 vette heater blower works fine on low settings but shuts off when selected on high. Read something about relay causing this. If so where is the blower relay located. I thought it was just above and a little inboard of blower in engine compt but when I disconnect it blower still runs. Dave
IF you can, follow the wire from the blower motor- it should lead to the relay. (And that does sound like your problem, BTW). Not 100% sure of it's location, but the usual spot is on the firewall. My 69 has it under the left fender, and in '82 it's on the firewall.
Early 70's C3s have a 30 amp fuse {and bayonet holder} on the left front inner fender...in front of the master cylinder. I don't know if 76's had the same design or not.
It is on the wire harness that goes to the passenger side kick panel under the dash. Your in luck, I am installing a new A/C system right now and have the complete blower assembly out of my car. I can send you a picture if you PM your email. Mine is a 76'
The fan relay on my 75 is mounted in the engine bay right next to the blower motor. Either the relay is bad or the wiring leading to it is bad. I replaced the corroded inline fuse going to the relay in mine with a more modern blade type to eliminate this problem. A simple voltage light will tell you where the problem is.

They should, it was still there in 77.
The Corvette Electrical Troubleshooting Manual for your year is a great resource.
OK guys thanks for the help it was the relay. Never found that fuse. Relay located on firewall near hood switch. Two plugs one has three wires.
Purple=power to blower
Light blue=switched power to relay
Red=Power to relay from buss
Single plug=Ground
Thanks Dave
