Is there a color number available for light pewter metallic??
I don´t wanna IMPORT that color, not sure if it´s even allowed per air...
So, if there is a number or something maybe the paintshop can mix the color??
71,454,4spd,
That Light Pewter Metalic really is sharp. Do they make a darker version of it? I am getting ready to paint my 78 Silver Anniversary 07/13 and that would look awesome on it. I made my wallpaper a pic of your car from your website to look at the color. All I can say is that you have one fine ride!!!!

I like dark pewter; it's close to the original charcoal metallic paint on my '81.
Another color I like is the dark blue available for the C5. It's a deep, rich metallic blue that isn't very common. I only saw two such C5s this summer with the color.
I was sitting at a stop light this morning next to a new S class Mercedes that had the most beautiful silver paint I've ever seen. It was obviously a base/clear coat, but it looked so deep and bright that it almost looked kind of white where the morning sun was reflecting off of it. Beautiful stuff. You might check it out on a real car at your local MB dealer.

GM code for it is 11, used from 1998. I am sure all paint manufacturers have mixing formulas for it as it's currently used on GM cars. It's the older paint codes that can be harder to match. That was the case with my -72. It was painted with glasurit paints, there were no formula for the original shade (pewter silver) so I chose the current light pewter metallic instead. I love the color, looks "normal" silver in day light and slightly brownish/golden in dusk...
I am going with this color with 89 crome wheels. I could never figure what wheels would go with the silver but the 89's done in crome with this color should be a looker.
When I finally get around to painting the '70, it will be Light Pewter Metallic. It looks awesome on my C5, and gets lots of compliments, and I think it looks really good on the C3s as well.
Also gotta agree with an earlier comment about Lasse's car - that is IMO the single most bad azz shark on the forum :yesnod:
I would stay away from silver/metallic gray as far as I could get, the reputation for peeling, fading, checkering and such is far and wide across all sorts of car lines, just look close at all the silver cars out there....the older ones...say over 3-4 years, and imagine your car on the horizontal surfaces looking like that in 3 years or less.....
