Default Vacuum failure???

Vacuum was not used for a long time about a yr or more...will this cause them to not come up. They want to come up and they just stopped but they went down no problem...du i need a new vacuum thingy?

Yep, you are going to need a new thingy, a whatachmacallit and a couple dohickeys.

Get a vacuum hand pump/gauge from you local parts store and test the components and lines. Use the search here for more details and various methods. The testing might let you get by without having to replace the dreaded thingamagig.

sounds like a bent fornuttin rod to me

Better get two new vacuum thingys, one for each of the shiny bright dojiggers that aren't popping up.

Try disconnecting ther hoses from the actuators and lubbing up the pivot points. Theres alot of them and some are in tough to reach places but lubing may help.

Do all the prescribed vacuum tests and try lubing up the relays...my brand new relays needed lubing with motor oil beofre they'd work right.

Because everything worked before the car sat for a year its unlikly you'll need any new dohickys or thig a ma jigs. A proper lub job is all it may need.
